Everyone at Andy’s Ashgill Stables is delighted to be supporting the fundraising efforts of Caroline Davis who will be riding Crakehall Lad in the Injured Jockeys Fund’s Charity Race at Kelso on Sunday May 28th.
Another good run by Racemaker at Ripon this afternoon, continuing the yard’s recent good form to finish a close up 3rd. He just missed out of 2nd place.
Amy won the ‘Best Turned Out’ award, so a good day all round.
Racing Post analysis:
“Racemaker ran close enough to his last-time-out form with the second and deserves extra credit as he forced a proper pace.”
A rare opportunity for Jackie and Andy to unwind and enjoy a day at the races with friends!
We are shocked and saddened by the sudden and untimely death today of fellow racehorse trainer Alan Swinbank. Alan and Andy have been friends for many years, he was always supportive of Andy’s family and yard.
“RIP Alan good night and God bless, you will be missed.”
The 100 Club’s horse Yoredoingwell, or Nelson as he’s know in the yard, made his racecourse debut at Sedgefield today and members were out in force to support him. He started and ran well for the most part but tired in the latter stages. He’ll be better for the experience and gave us lots to be positive about.
Betfred’s Sponsorship and Events manager Caroline Davis is in training to ride in a Charity Race at Kelso Racecourse on Sunday 28th May 2017 in support of the Injured Jockey’s Fund’s Jack Berry House in Malton.
She will be riding Crakehall Lad and has been riding him on the High Moor gallop. Anyone wishing to donate can do so via this link:
